Meet Evan Howard
I’m Evan Howard, a resident of Rhode Island since 1988, and a longtime admirer of the state’s founder, Roger Williams. Since my ordination as an American Baptist minister in 1980, I have served as a pastor in urban, residential, and university settings.
As an author, I’ve written for newspapers, religious journals, sermon magazines, and online media outlets. I have also published four nonfiction books and two novels — a process that included working with traditional publishers, self-publishing, and becoming a client of Trident Media Group in New York City.
As a filmmaker and storyteller, I am especially excited about the upcoming release of the three devotional guides in The Magdalene Secret of Love series.
These devotionals grew out of The Thirty-Seven Invitations to Love featured in my novel, The Magdalene Secret: A Parable of the Love You Long to Live. You can explore the themes of the upcoming series and follow the progress of the novel by visiting the project page.
